I’ve been struggling to blog like my normal self for a little while now and I’ve come to the realisation that it’s because my new blog never really felt like home. I’m not entirely sure why but something didn’t feel right, I wasn’t relating to it anymore! I also started an interiors blog but that didn’t feel right either, it felt too separate and formal for my liking. So now I have combined the two! It’s normally a big no no unless you are a celebrity or someone probably a whole lot more interesting than I but I don’t give a damn! That’s right! This is my little space on the big ol interweb and I’ll do what I want!
I also think I had a little bit of the old writers block! Ahh when self doubt creeps in! Man it’s a bitch and it can quite frankly drain the life out of you if you let it. When you are a vulnerable creative you open your world for everyone opinions and judgement and although 95% of the comments on my blog are positive I am only human to feel a little self preservation sometimes.
Anyway to kick things off I thought I’d share some beautiful images I had taken by the very talented photographer Jenna Hitchcock. She captured my home so wonderfully I cannot help but share them with you.
We have spent a great deal of time renovating, painting etc… many of you may have seen the updates along the way. It’s been quite the journey taking nearly a year, no it’s not as fast as the shows like The Block make it seem! I was pretty chuffed to see these photos reflect my personal style. Enjoy x
